Gonadal Type or G Types on the Body Type Diet by author Dr. Elliot Abravanel are probably the easiest body type to recognize. Gonadal or G Type women are the pear shapes with smaller chests and thin arms, but a lot of chunkiness in their hips and buttock.
According to Abravanel, most G Types crave rich and creamy foods and spicy foods. They do better by eating light in the morning and having a more filling dinner thus the Reverse Diet or the breakfast diet would not be a good fit for them. Although they probably adore Thai food, they should order their tofu and rice dishes mild instead of “Thai hot.”
As the author of the New York Times bestseller “Body Type Diet,” Dr. Abravanel says Adrenal, Gonadal, Thyroid or Pituitary body types have different body shapes as well as different cravings and dietary needs.
I know quite a few G types who lose weight – only to gain it all back and more by giving into their cravings: cheesecake, spicy Mexican and Thai food and creamy Italian dishes.
I knew one woman who had tried ever diet in the book – the magic sprinkle Sensa diet; the Bikini emergency plan; the Grapefruit diet; the Insanity diet; the HCG diet to even using hypnosis to lose weight – only to gain it all back. But she had amazing results by following the G diet!
