Another sample I received in the mail, was for Aveeno Nourish + Volumize Shampoo, and also the Nourish + Volumize Conditioner.
Today I am writing about the shampoo. It came from Wal-Mart. They have an area on their website, where you can get free samples.
The Aveeno Nourish + Volumize Shampoo comes in a 0.3 ounce (9 ml.) sachet. It has the same beige color as the 10.5 ounce bottle.
It states that it is ‘New’, and is an ‘Active Naturals’ product. It contains nourishing wheat complex and blue lotus flowers.
I came back from a week at the beach, St. Augustine and Daytona, so my hair had been bleached by the sun, was dry, and probably had sand in it. I just love to get in amongst those waves. I thought a perfect time to try a new shampoo.
The top of the sachet has a tear already formed, so you don’t have to cut it before entering the shower. I just pulled it across, and the top came off.
I then stood under the shower and wet my hair. I squeezed the shampoo into my hand, and it came out as a medium consistency, pearly colored liquid. I had to watch that it didn’t go between my fingers.
I applied it to my wet hair, and began to massage it into my hair. At first I didn’t get a good lather, but when I put my hands under the shower and added more water, I then got a good lather. I left it on my hair while I washed my body.
I then rinsed it off. My hair felt good, but not how my hair feels when I have shampooed it twice, or used an excellent shampoo. As I had used all the shampoo, in the sachet, I decided to apply the Aveeno Nourish Volumize Conditioner. After rinsing that off my hair felt clean, fresh, and silky.
I then combed my hair, put gel in it, blow dried it, used the curling iron, teased it, and then into a French Twist. My hair had volume to it. Normally it is baby fine, but when I use a volumizing shampoo, my hair looks so much better.
Normally when I get shampoo samples, the sachets will do two shampoos. I am not sure if there was less in this one, or whether my hair was worse, for the treatment it had had, on the East coast.
With my free sample I also have a coupon for $1 off a full size bottle. Aveeno have made a product that works for my limp, baby fine hair. The only problem I have is that I normally buy products for color treated hair.
What I can probably do is use this shampoo with a color treated conditioner.
