Big Brother Season 12 has started and right away the Houseguests are already up to no good. It was revealed on the first episode that there was a saboteur in the house. On the second episode which aired last night the houseguests we still trying to figure out which of them put a padlock on the door that housed all of the food for the Big Brother house. The padlock was discovered when the saboteur turned out all of the lights in the house and it was pitch black. Most everyone was on the sofa, however there were a couple of people that were roaming around the Big Brother house. Andrew, a podiatrist from Miami was not on the couch with the rest of the squad. Instead he was walking around and when the lights came on, he appeared to be sleeping behind the couch. Brendon, the high school swim coach with a love for science, was walking around and missing from the living room the entire time during the black out. He claimed to be looking for his toothbrush and was brushing his teeth the entire time.
Last week Hayden took HOH and he, Enzo, Lane and Matt decided to form an alliance. The Jersey boy Enzo named himself the mastermind of the group and gave everyone nicknames like they were in some sort of mafia. Hayden seemed to notice the sparks that were flying between Brendon and red-haired Vegas Cocktail Waitress Rachel and immediately saw the duo as a target. Meanwhile Brendon and Rachel didn’t waste any time chilling in the pool and talking about Science. She is a Chemistry Graduate student and he is going for his PH.D in Physics. Annie happened to be in the pool while they were starting up a potential show-mance. She likened it to watching her parents have sex which is something that she would never want to see. Later in a very touching moment, Annie pulled Ragan, the outwardly gay College Professor, to the side and told him that she had a girlfriend. Ragan was honored that Annie would share something so intimate with him and she looked relieved that she had gotten that off of her chest.
Next up was the reward challenge which was very important because the food had been locked up by the saboteur and the houseguests were starving. There were three teams – pink, green and blue. Each team had to take turns crawling in a sloth of caramel to then look through mounds and bags of popcorn for little white teeth. They would then return back through the thick caramel and put the teeth in the missing spot on the team’s mouth exhibit. The first two teams with eight teeth in their mouth would get to eat real food for the week, and the losing team would be on slop. The blue team took an early lead and the others weren’t far behind. Everyone struggled with the caramel which was extremely thick, but Rachel discovered that the less of your body that hit the caramel, the quicker you could move through it. This did not work for Kathy, the Deputy Sheriff from Arkansas. Not only did she take he sweet time going through the popcorn instead of ripping through it to find a tooth and quickly getting back with it, but she got stuck in the caramel and just stopped moving. Before she stopped moving, her team was in contention to possibly win. All her poor team could do was watch and yell for her to come on as they watched there chance of eating this week fly away from their lips. All a criminal would have to do to get away from Kathy it seems would be to get lost in a swamp or anywhere that’s sticky. What was even more unbelievable was after the competition when Kathy was telling Britney that because Enzo had hidden a tooth in the caramel for her that she had a tougher time at the competition. As if Kathy could talk, she pretty much stopped moving the entire last part of the Big Brother reward challenge as Britney mentioned, she just laid there the last 20 minutes.
The saboteur struck again the next morning when both Kathy and Britney’s pictures had been marked with an x. Kathy blew it off and Britney tried not to let it bother her. In the end, Hayden stayed true to his alliance and his first thoughts and nominated Brendon and Rachel. Rachel declared that she would get off the block and try to get Brendon off too. This Wednesday should be interesting to see who gets the Power of Veto. Until then, Happy Summer TV Watching!
