Wow, Big Brother Season 12 is already on Episode 6 and it is getting pretty violent in the house. Well no actual blows have been thrown, but the threats are there. Britney and Monet did not take the news of being put up for eviction well at all. They pretty much cry for hours and hours. Monet makes some pretty violent confessions in the diary room about wanting to punch Rachel in the face. The girls are crying so much that Rachel asks to talk to Britney. Britney tells Rachel that she and Monet would do whatever she wanted them to do if she keeps them both in the house. Rachel lets Britney know that she does not want her to go and that she wants Monet out. Since Monet is the closest person to Britney, Britney does not want her to go and vows to throw anybody under the bus to keep Monet in the house. Britney tells Rachel that if Andrew is evicted from the house, that nobody would care. Monet talks to Rachel and tells her the same thing. By the end of the conversations, Rachel is crying to Brendon about how bad she feels for putting the girls up for nomination.
Brendon says that Rachel is a genuinely nice girl and that’s what he likes about her, but he does not trust Britney or Monet. Rachel tells Brendon about the idea of putting Andrew up and he doesn’t think that is the best idea because Andrew is their ally. Andrew comes in and tries to talk strategy, but as Brendon starts to tell Andrew their plans, Rachel asks him to leave. Andrew lets Rachel know that if he has to be a pawn, he understands.
In other house shenanigans, Matt starts telling a sob story about his wife having some sort of rare disease where her leg bones are like candle sticks. He tells America that his wife isn’t sick but says who would kick someone out that just wants to get the money to save his wife. He fools some of his housemates but Andrew, the Podiatrist, has never heard of such an illness and knows that Matt is lying. Matt actually saw the disease on the medical channel and promises that if he wins the $500k, he will donate a portion to those with the disease.
Soon it is time for the Power of Veto competition. Rachel picks houseguest choice and it is no surprise that she chooses her man Brendon to compete. As Monet and Britney are standing up beside Rachel to choose who competes, Monet looks like she is in pain. I really don’t know why she doesn’t like Rachel but you can really tell that she would prefer not to be anywhere near her. Britney selects Lane and Monet picks Enzo which doesn’t bode well for the girls because the Brigade would not take one of them off of the block. The competition is the Big Brother Stock Exchange. Ragan is the host. I absolutely adore Ragan. He is just so fun and animated. The participants must place there head and hands in what looks like a guillotine. They must also hold a briefcase in one of their hands. The person who opts out the closest to one hour without going over the hour is the winner.
The competition begins and they use different strategies. Some people try to tap their fingers to count the seconds, others just estimate. In the end, Britney opted out first and Rachel stared down Monet and dropped her briefcase the second after Monet did. Britney wins as she came the closest to an hour without going over. Enzo went over by 14 seconds which would have probably guaranteed that both Britney and Monet would have stayed on the eviction block.
Now that Rachel has to put someone else in place of Britney, Matt offers up himself. Rachel is suspicious of this and tells Brendon that Matt has another agenda. Matt knows that he will get brownie points with Brendon and Rachel and with his Brigade bros and he makes Rachel agree that during the speech she indicate that he is just a pawn.
Britney of course takes herself off of the block and Rachel puts Matt up shocking Monet and Britney who thought she would take their suggestion and nominate Andrew. Monet again wants to punch everyone in the face. Ragan is nervous because Big Brother history has anyone who has offered themselves as a pawn always going home. I think Matt is as good as safe because between Brendon and the Brigade, that’s enough votes to stay. While Monet is contemplating who to punch first, I hope she is packing because she is surely going home. Or will she pull off a miracle and stay? This is getting good. Happy Watching Everyone!
