If you’ve been watching the Bravo TV reality show The Real Housewives of New York City for the past few seasons, you know that cast member Bethenny Frankel has had a rocky road to romance. In earlier episodes of the series, Bethenny often seemed stressed out and unhappy as she felt her biological clock ticking and tried to get a former boyfriend to make a commitment. It seems that Bethenny was extremely busy building her “Skinny Girl” empire and was quite unlucky in love, perhaps resigned to the fact that her career would take precedence over her personal life.
What a difference a season makes! When the latest episodes of The Real Housewives of New York City started airing, we learned that Bethenny Frankel had fallen in love quite unexpectedly after a whirlwind romance with Jason Hoppy. On top of all that, Bethenny learned she was pregnant as this season of The Real Housewives of New York City unfolded. The Bethenny Frankel pregnancy just added more drama to a Real Housewives season that was ripe with controversy concerning Jill, Bethenny and Alex.
I don’t watch a lot of TV anymore and I rarely look at reality television, but I’ve been tuning into The Real Housewives of New York City because it is set in Manhattan. At first I found Bethenny to be one of the more unsympathetic Housewives, but she’s grown on me. This season we’ve seen the softer side of Bethenny Frankel, as she battles with Jill Zarin, develops a friendship with Alex and a romantic relationship with Jason, and deals with her first pregnancy and the death of her estranged father.
This weekend, there is news that Bethenny Frankel went into labor about one month early, delivering her baby just in time for Mother’s Day! Is it a boy or a girl for Bethenny and Jason Hoppy? There have been some conflicting reports in the press; however, it appears that Bethenny Frankel gave birth to a baby girl named Bryn. Everyone who follows The Real Housewives of New York City has been so curious: did Bethenny marry her prince charming Jason Hoppy and what will happen when she settles down to domestic life with her new baby?
