AriZona Rescue Water Provides Relief

by itchyfish

As I don’t care for the taste of tap water, I choose to consume sugary drinks that are often high in sugar content and calories. Unfortunately over the years, I’ve discovered that these products can lead to weight gain, tooth decay, as well as often fail to fully hydrate me. Recently I sampled AriZona’s newest product Rescue Water and found that at 25 calories per 8 ounce serving and 6 to 7 grams of sugar, they satisfied my craving for sweets without sending me into sugar shock. These products, which contain no preservatives or artificial flavors, are sweetened using Reb-A, which is a natural sweetener that comes from stevia plants unlike the chemicals used in some other artificial sweeteners.

Also, this water has been enhanced with vitamin formulas and antioxidants as a results of AriZona’s relationship with Twinlab, The flavors with their specific designed function are as follows:

The Berry Blend is a combination of L-Theanine, green tea extract and lemon balm extract that’s designed to work in harmony to help the body deal with daily stressors and relax. Given my proclivity towards sweets, I gravitated towards this flavor as it was the sweetest one though it wasn’t so sugary that I felt I was consuming Kool-Aid.

The Lemon-Lime formula is supposed to provide an energy boost in thanks to a blend of guarana extract, green tea extract and natural caffeine. I found the tangy taste to be a bit too tart and unnatural though on a very hot day, this proved to be the most refreshing option.

The Orange Citrus blend is designed to aid in detoxifying the body thanks to nutrients such as Alpha Lipoic Acid, green tea extract, milk thistle extract, and L-Glutathione The Tang-like quality of this orange failed to satisfy my palate though those who enjoy powdery orangish drinks will gravitate towards this product.

The Pomegranate Punch should help support immunity thanks to a blend of Arabinogalactin, green tea extract and elderberry extract that combat free radicals. This product was a close second to the Berry Blend, as it was also sweet without becoming too sugary.

The PET bottles, which are BPA free and recyclable using the 1-PETE code, are more durable than some water bottles. So they can hold their shape in a tote bag or backpack without deflating. Also, these bottles are made with a DiamondClear oxygen scavenging technology that’s meant to product the product from outside oxygen that can affect this enriched water’s quality. I do wish the products came in a slightly smaller size. During a heat wave, I can definitely go through a 20.5 ounce bottle but I’d like to carry a smaller bottle on others days so I can refresh myself on the go without having to lug around more water than I need.
