Finally President Obama may be sending the beleaguered Arizona border troop reinforcements.
Main stream media outlets has been reporting that he has requested money and troops for border security. But not a moment too soon.
In fact, it may be a little too late as a silent war is waging on our border which has been almost completely ignored by major news outlets.
I am not an investigative reporter and normally I would hesitate to write this kind of piece but I feel this is an issue of real urgency and I have inside information that Arizona border agents have been threatened by drug smugglers who follow them home and make it very clear that they wish to intimidate America law enforcement officers from doing their job.
In fact my sources tell me that the Arizona ranch owner Robert Benz murdered in cold blood several months ago was not an isolated incident—, but may have been silenced by a group of well organized drug smugglers.
Apparently, two or three well armed ” spotters” went ahead to scout the area before twenty or more “mules” loaded with pack backs of drugs descended on this man’s ranch. Ground zero for a drug smuggling ring. They prepared to drop the drugs in their normal hiding place when they were interrupted.
As the newspapers have reported, he was murdered. But not by a straggler or lone gunman. No this is was an assassination with a real purpose. What most news outlets neglected to cover was the real extent of a dire problem on our border states. Ranchers know that to resist the criminal trespassers on their property is to invite death. Many have been physically threatened by the invading groups of well organized thugs.
According to what I have been told by residents, they are being overrun by drug smugglers, well organized with serious equipment. Not harmless people scurrying across their land. But serious dangerous criminals who shoot anyone in their path.
This is not the first time this has happened, in fact, parts of Casa Grande and the border cities of Phoenix are known drop points for drugs and human smugglers. Ranch owners are threatened with murder if they object to being unwitting participants in the drug trade. And some have been beaten or shot at as they patrol their own land.
Some investigative reporters for Phoenix news stations have attempted to cover the story but only one outlet, radio outlet ” Coast to Coast” has released the leak that law enforcement officers are told that they and their families are in danger of retaliation if anyone attempts to stop these lawless drug smugglers.
In other words, the chaos and lawlessness of the Mexican drug trade has ALREADY crossed our borders and it may be too late to secure our border. According to Phoenix news outlet Channel 5, just last week, one of the main recreation landmarks ( Sonora national Monument ) outside of Tuscan posted signs that it was not safe to go through as illegal drug smugglers use it as a passageway . To openly acknowledge their presence is what shocks many and Brewer has criticized the president in an open letter this week.
See my links below which include youtube clips of Pinal County law enforcement discussing the problem.
Since when do we cede our national parks to dangerous criminals?
Many Arizona residents are asking this question.
Already the unfortunate residents near high traffic areas are terrified into abandoning their ranches by the constant stream of smugglers and drug bearing mules. As one lady coinfides on a recent Phoenix channel 5 broadcast, ” I can’t even live on my own ranch as it is too dangerous for me to be there.”
Her tearful resignation confirmed what I had head months before thru private sources:
Ranchers and border security are sitting ducks for roving bands of drug smugglers. Citizens are looking for real action and not tactics to win upcoming elections or political lip service to stop Arizona from enacting it’s own laws to handle this problem
“At the very least, let Arizona try to save itself form roving hordes of armed drug smugglers.”
That’ seems to be the consensus of Arizona’s public representatives.
As Governor Jan Brewer has been saying for months. If the federal government had listened to our pleas a few years ago, we wouldn’t be in this position passing our own laws to try and save our state .
And if you remember back in 2006, then president Bush refused to pardon two border agents for shooting a drug smuggler. Obviously, the government was unconsciously contributing to the problem for a long time and the damage is already done. Let’s hope the right people will go to jail this time! And it’s about time according to these border resident who fear for their lives and property.
Who could imagine this happening in the United States of America
Hopefully it is not too late.
