Last week Alasia and Jessica Serfaty were in the bottom two. In the end, Alasia Ballard was sent home.
On tonight’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, Tyra photographed the final five models. Those still in the running to be America’s Next Top Model are Jessica Serfaty, Alexandra Underwood, Raina Hein, Krista White, and Angelea Preston.
I love seeing all the fashion and photo shoots, even more so with the cast of ANTM being on location in New Zealand. The potential models met with Sarah McLeod, from The Lord of the Rings. For the first photo shoot the models wore fashions from World Designs from New Zealand fashion week.
Raina seems to have a good grasp that her job is not always going to plush. I like how she is honest and not a spoiled child, like you often see on ANTM. But this competition is all about who photographs and sells their garments the best.
Jay Manuel let the models know that in today’s photo shoot they would each get only five frames.
Alexandra was up first, and was photographed by Guy Coombes. She did a good job of moving around and attempting to sell her attire.
Krista was up next and she admitted that she felt Angelea was her biggest competition. She seems to have her head on her shoulders more than some, which is needed as a model.
Jessica was trying almost too hard during her photo shoot, and not thinking clearly. Jay said she looked too commercial, which seems to mean too pretty. She looks like a model to me. She isn’t as focused as some of the other, older girls, but still she pulls off the title model easily enough. She needs to learn that sometimes you have to learn to be harder, and edgier. Anyone can be pretty all the time.
Angelea is just too bossy, all the time. I am surprised they keep someone like her in the competition, because I think in the real world no one would really want to work with her. Because of her personality, and selfishness. She is too stuck on herself.
Raina did a great job during her photo shoot, and said she was feeling inspired. She totally looks like a model, no doubt about it. She is the only one who seems to be enjoying herself. And she is competitive, but not catty. And you can’t beat that! She reminds me of Laura Kirkpatrick who was runner up of cycle 13. She was very down-to-earth, and that’s how Raina is. A good thing!
The winner of the challenge was Krista White, who won $3,000 worth of merchandise from World Designs of New Zealand. And they gave her an additional $1,500 of clothes.
The girls quickly got tired of Angelea’s catty ways, and soon they giving her a taste of her own medicine, by cracking jokes back at her, at her expense. It seems Angelea can dish it out, but she can’t take it – what a surprise. The girls are also overly catty towards Raina, probably because she is the biggest competition.
Tyra Banks was the photographer for the ladies last photo shoot of the day. Tyra told them they would have their hair done with clay, which caused Krista to flinch. Jessica said she didn’t know what they were looking for concerning the photo shoot, and if she doesn’t believe in herself – no one will.
Those safe from going home this week:
Krista White, who won for best photo. Runner up for best photo was Alexandra. Then Tyra chose to save Angelea.
Those in the bottom two were Raina and Jessica, but only one could be saved. And Tyra sent Jessica home. I think Jessica gave up a couple of photo shoots back. She was the prettiest one there, but modeling isn’t about who the prettiest is. You have to have other dimensions, as well.
And now only 4 models remain. Who is your favorite? I think Krista and Alexandra both have a good chance of being the last two standing.
