With three men in the family, I’ve become a student of men’s hygiene and personal care products. We’ve tried every men’s body wash product on the market: AXE, Bod, Coast, Irish Spring, Tag, Adidas, Old Spice, Gillette, Alpine X-Treme. For the price, Alpine X-Treme is our favorite.
Men’s personal hygiene and body wash products are pricey. But they have advantages over bar soap. First men’s body wash usually has a stronger deodorant smell that plain soap. Because body wash is a liquid that pours from a bottle it doesn’t melt like a bar of soap and make as much of a mess in the shower. There is also less product waste than with bar soap.
So far this is true of all men’s body wash personal hygiene products. What makes Alpine X-Treme Hydrating Face+Body Wash unique is a combination of factors. First Alpine X-Treme can be used to wash body, face and hair. Alpine X-Treme is a combination facial and body soap that works as shampoo as well. Next factor that makes Alpine X-Treme Hydrating Face+Body Wash our preferred brand is that it moisturizes skin instead of drying it. Women’s body wash comes in moisturizing varieties, but few men’s body wash products can make the same claim. Some men’s hygiene products actually cause skin to dry and chafe.
Alpine X-Treme has a unique packaging design. Instead of the traditional squirt opening that most men’s body wash products have, Alpine X-Treme Hydrating Face+Body Wash has a nicely designed pump applicator. This controls how much body wash product is used much more effectively than the squeeze bottle opening. Far less product gets wasted and splashed about on the shower walls. Also the Alpine X-Treme bottle is designed to fit securely in shower racks; regular men’s body wash bottles tend to slide out of shower racks and fall. I don’t know how many much body wash product we’ve rinsed down the drain unused because the bottle opening cracked in the fall. The Alpine X-Treme Hydrating Face+Body wash applicator and bottle can easily be refilled and reused indefinitely also.
Price is always a consideration and Alpine X-treme Hydrating Face+Body Wash retails for $3.16 for a 28 ounce bottle at Wal-Mart. Few other men’s body wash products, including store varieties of national brands, sell for so reasonable a price and most come in far smaller product sizes. Alpine X-treme once came in an Evergreen Forest (green) product variety, but Vi-Jon voluntarily recalled that product due to contamination in a small batch. But whether you choose Alpine X-treme Hydrating Face+Body Wash in Volcanic Rush (red) or Mountain Stream (blue), you’ll have an excellent bargain. For more product information, visit me at Shop Chat.
