One of the reasons I purchased Almay Pure Blends Makeup in that it is 97.4% natural, is hypoallergenic, and lightweight.
I have a couple of liquid makeup products that go on thick, and really do look heavy, and unnatural.
This comes in a white, flat tube, with pink coloring on it. I am not sure what it is supposed to be. On the top right is a circle, with the color on it, and mine is Honey, #320. This sticker is the color, or very similar to the color, of the liquid makeup.
The size of the tube is 1 fluid ounce (30 ml.). The top of the tube is a flattish oval, and you just twist it twice, to remove it.
There is a tiny hole in the tube, and once you squeeze the tube, the liquid makeup comes out. The color is slightly darker than the sticker on the front of the tube.
It is runny and lightweight. There is no fragrance, which I personally think is good.
I put some of the liquid makeup on my fingertips and applied it to my face. Even though the color was darker, when I rubbed it into my skin, it looked a similar color. I did one side of my face, and checked it before applying the other side.
The color looked good, but my face was shiny. I looked at a couple of age spots and it might have toned them down, but they were still showing. I then did the other half of my face, and my neck.
I waited a few minutes before coming to a decision on the makeup. Almay state that it is a ‘natural’ liquid makeup, and it is. It really didn’t do much for my face.
As it is hard to see your own face, I put some Almay Pure Blends on the top of my left hand. I have a couple of dark spots on there, and figured it would be easy for me to check it. The color blended perfectly with my hand. The two brown spots remained. Even the veins in my hands stayed the same color.
Two hours later I checked my makeup and it had stayed on, but was still very shiny. By night time my face still looked the same, so it stayed on well. There were no patches, redness, or any problems with my skin.
I used one of my cleansers, and it came off very easily. The makeup on my hand came off with plain soap and water.
From the back of the Almay tube:
“Natural, lightweight, fragrance free makeup.
Blend of antioxidants with lotus, orchid, and acai.
Paraben free, talc free.
Eco friendly packaging.”
I was fortunate to purchase the Almay Pure Blends Makeup at our local Dollar Tree store, so for the price, I was fairly happy with this product.
To me if a liquid makeup doesn’t cover up any lines, marks, or wrinkles, then it doesn’t work. Another product for the charity store.
