This week on The Bachelorette, Ali and the remaining guys return to America and visit the bachelor’s hometowns. Ali Fedotowsky will get the opportunity to meet Roberto, Chris, Frank, and Kirk’s families. And, by the end, as always, another man is eliminated out of her potential dating pool. Maybe she will find the one who is there for entirely the right reasons.
Marrying someone is practically like marrying their family, so you should chose someone with whom you can respect and have a “relationship” with. I have always believed that. If you don’t like their momma, chances are you will learn to eventually not like the son, because children are made of their parents, of course.
Meeting the families:
Roberto Martinez and Ali met in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. He’s 26, lives in Charleston, South Carolina, and is an Insurance Agent. He graduated from the University of Tampa, where he played baseball. He said it was a big step having a girl meet you parents, and the next step in a relationship. He’s got that right! All along Roberto has had great chemistry with Ali, but meeting the parents is a make-it or break-it moment. Roberto got his mom and dad’s blessings to be with her. Ali said the bar was set high, after meeting Roberto’s family. I expect that some of the other families will not make her feel as welcome. She got along well with his family and was very comfortable, after they got the important stuff out of the way.
Chris Lambton and Ali met is his hometown of Dennis (on Cape Cod), MA. He is 33, lives in Cape Cod, MA, and is a Landscaper. He plans to take Ali to the beach he grew up on. The two already seem to have a solid connection, but everyone is wondering if they can be more than friends. Now we’ll find out. Ali admitted in Portugal that they moved passed the friends stage. But she admitted that meeting the family is the real test. I like Chris, who wouldn’t though!? I think that Chris and Roberto will be the last two guys standing, and one of the them will marry her. Both of them are from Massachusetts, and she said it felt like home. Since Chris’s mother passed away, Ali got the chance to meet his father. He has two brothers: one is married, and the other engaged. The two deepened their bond at his father’s house. Chris is a nice guy, just like Roberto, just in a different way. He is much more relaxed, and there’s nothing wrong with a calm man. Ali met Chris’ dad Ed, and his brothers and sister-in-law. His brothers Mark and Eric seemed to like her, as did the rest of the family. The future-sister-in-laws seem like people that could be real friends with her. Love is the only reality is the family motto, and I love it! I love that his family has a motto, and extra points for it being a positive one. Ed brought up that Ali and Chris had a commonality: both quit their jobs to take care of their family; she her grandma, he his mother. She said she never really thought of that. Ed said his goal in life is to see all of his children happy, married, and with a partner. Awe! Ed, then called Ali a keeper.
Kirk DeWindt met with Ali in his hometown of (Barlett, Illinois) Green Bay, Wisconsin. He’s 27, and his occupation is as a Sales Consultant. His parents are divorced, so that meant they had two houses to visit. Kirk revealed that his parent’s do not speak to each other, and she thought Kirk gained some trust issues because of it. Kirk’s dad asked Ali to visit his basement workshop were he displays all of his taxidermy objects. Ewe, I was disgusted, and you could see that Ali was too. Ali was completely freaked out. He even showed her the freezer where he kept frozen animals. Someone call PETA. Please. OK, so it wouldn’t help but that dude creeps me out, more than Ty did with the hot-oil massage a couple of episodes back. Yes, I went there! His dad proved to be a nicer guy when not focusing on his weird animal wall art. I still think he or Frank will go home, tonight – Frank, hopefully! Ali then met Kirk’s mom, grandmother, and sister. Ali bragged about Kirk making a scrap book for her, the first night, and he got embarrassed. He just got cuter. Really. Kirk’s mom and Ali had a deep heart-to-heart about Kirk having been sick. It was touching, and his mom is so awesome! Then I thought, bu bye Frank! He is the one I would have sent home weeks ago. Kirk and Ali then did a bit of smooching and Kirk claimed to be falling for Ali.
Frank Neuschaefer and Ali then caught up for the last hometown visit with his family, in Chicago. He’s 31, resides in Geneva, Illinois, and is a Retail Manager. They ran to each other, then took off on a boat, took pictures, and had silly moments. Then the conversation got serious when Ali spoke of meeting her potential in-laws. Frank expressed that he had concerns, and the moment changed completely. Frank is worried she will send him home tomorrow, but I’m thinking it could be today. Especially if he keeps talking and being negative and doubting what they have built. Ali said she needs him to be confident in what they have, and that she needed him to have faith. Ali said he seemed nervous, and he did – he also seemed guilty. He was scared and ready to cry, but so far we don’t truly know why. Frank seems to be holding something back, a secret. Only time would tell what the secret could be, or if there was one at all. Ali then met his parents and sister. His family told her that Frank was an emotional person, which gave some clarity to his dilemma and questions. Ali said she had a great time with his family, that they were great, and she liked that they joked around. As she left she revealed that there was a good chance that she and Frank, could end up together.
When Ali spoke with host, Chris Harrison, she admitted she knew what she needed to do, and who needed to be sent home. She cried, and for one of the first times in the sixth season of The Bachelorette, I believed her, and that the show wasn’t a fraud.
So who is going home? The rose ceremony took place next. Those receiving roses were, in this order:
Roberto, Chris, and Frank. Who went home? That could only mean that Kirk was sent home. Ali cried, and with that Kirk was left in shock. They had a moment to sit down and talk and she said that it was about them together. He said it hurts that he gave everything he had and it wasn’t what she was looking for.
And then Kirk went home. Next week they will arrive in Tahiti! Fun, secrets, romance, tropical locations, adventure, sparks, and drama will fly! Don’t miss Frank telling Ali that they need to talk. Looks like Frank is going to reveal a secret.
Stay tuned for more Bachelorette updates, to follow. Will Ali Fedotowsky ever find true love? Yes, yes she will.
