Album Review of Sir Lucious Left Foot by Big Boi of Outkast

by itchy fish

I recently received the new Big Boi album as a gift; I figured that it would be a great idea to review this album in order to let you know my experience. Big Boi is a member of the group known as Outkast and this is the reason that I was given this as a gift. I have been a fan of Outkast since Speakerboxxx in 2003. If you have never heard this CD I would suggest you pick it up. This is one that is well worth the money and both of the discs on the CD are fantastic. It has been seven years since the release of that album and Big Boi has been working on this CD titled Sir Lucious Left Foot for the last three year. Because this is intended to be his first release outside of the group you would expect that it would be great. I personally expected to find some introspective lyrics with some fantastic beats that are common for this group.

However, what I got is exactly the opposite of what I wanted. The lyrics are about the typical bling that he Rap star discusses. He mostly speaks about having money and driving cars. These are lyrics that we could easily find on any Rap CD from the south. If you are looking for great beats you will also be disappointed because these are horrible. The track list includes the following

• 1. Feel Me (Intro) – (featuring Donny “Poppa Doc” Mathis/Sleepy Brown/Big Boi/Bosko)

• 2. Daddy Fat Sax – (featuring Kevin Kendricks/Debra Killings/DJ Cutmaster Swiff/Mr. DJ/Big Boi)

• 3. Turns Me On – (featuring Dave Robbins/Debra Killings/Organized Noize/Sleepy Brown/Big Boi/Teedra Moses)

• 4. Follow Us – (featuring Neil Garrard/Salaam Remi/Big Boi/Big Rube)

• 5. Shutterbugg – (featuring Chris Carmouche/Cutty/Kevin Kendricks/Debra Killings/Donny “Poppa Doc” Mathis/Scott Storch/Big Boi/Bosko)

• 6. General Patton – (featuring Jerry Freeman/Jason Freeman/Hornz Unlimited/Richard Owens/Donny “Poppa Doc” Mathis/Dax “Dirty Dr.” Rudnak/Big Boi/Big Rube/Kebbi Williams)

• 7. Tangerine – (featuring Kevin Kendricks/David Whild/Donny “Poppa Doc” Mathis/Terrence “Knightheet” Culbreath/Khujo Goodie/T.I./Big Boi/Omar Phillips)

• 8. You Ain’t No DJ – (featuring DJ Cutmaster Swiff/Andr¿ 3000/Big Boi/YelaWolf)

• 9. Hustle Blood – (featuring Chris Carmouche/Craig Love/Debra Killings/Jamie Foxx/Big Boi)

• 10. Be Still – (featuring Kevin Kendricks/William White/Dax “Dirty Dr.” Rudnak/Henry Welch/Royal Flush/Big Boi/Janelle Mon e)

• 11. Fo Yo Sorrows – (featuring Sam Chris/Kevin Kendricks/Too Short/Debra Killings/Billy Odum/George Clinton/David Whild/Organized Noize/Big Boi)

• 12. Night Night – (featuring B.o.B/Jerry Freeman/DJ Speedy/Jason Freeman/Hornz Unlimited/David Whild/Richard Owens/Pooh Bear/Big Boi/Kebbi Williams)

• 13. Shine Blockas – (featuring Kevin Kendricks/Gucci Mane/DJ Cutmaster Swiff/Big Boi)

• 14. Train, Pt. 2 (Sir Lucious Left Foot Saves the Day) – (featuring Sam Chris/Jerry Freeman/Kevin Kendricks/Jason Freeman/Hornz Unlimited/Victor Alexander/David Whild/Richard Owens/Lobster Tacos/Organized

• 15. Back Up Plan – (featuring Debra Killings/Tamiko Hope/DJ Cutmaster Swiff/Tiphanie Watson/March¿ Butler/Mike Patterson/Organized Noize/Sleepy Brown/Big Boi)

This album is probably one of the worst I have heard this year and I would rate it 1/10. If you are considering picking this up you should save the money, I would gladly take donations for saving you from listening to one of the worst Rap albums of all time.
