Bachelor Pad, ABC’s new summertime reality series, is set to air starting on August 9th. And while the cast lineup hasn’t been announced yet, fans of the hit shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette can’t wait to find out which former contestants will sign on to live together in a house and compete for a grand prize of $250,000. And while this may sound like the poor man’s Big Brother, it will be big business for ABC- and for Bachelor and Bachelorette fans.
Who will be on the cast of Bachelor Pad? Several names have been floating out there, but are they fact or fiction?
Will these former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants shack up this summer in the Bachelor Pad?
Jesse Csincsak. This former Bachelorette contestant lives and breathes the Bachelor franchise, showing up at every event and becoming the de facto organizer for all things Bachelor. Chosen by Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas as “the one” back in Season 4 of The Bachelorette, the snowboarder ended up with a broken heart and a broken engagement. Still, he seems to love to bask in his Bachelorette fame and has been an organizer and participant in Bachelor cast cruises, reunions and other social events. I’d be shocked if Csincsak doesn’t move into the Bachelor Pad this summer. MY VOTE: FACT
Jake Pavelka. This pilot has been on a steady succession of reality shows in the past year- so why stop now? First he was a contestant on Season 5 of The Bachelorette. When Jillian Harris sent him packing, he returned to the show weeks later to warn her about contestant Wes Hayden. Snitch or not, Jake was then picked to be the Season 14 Bachelor, which turned out to be one of the most scandalous and highly rated seasons of the show. And right on the heels of his Bachelor stint -which netted him fiancé Vienna Girardi- Pavelka competed on Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars. He’s been off the air for a full month now, so it just may be time for Jake to sign on to another ABC reality show. MY VOTE: MAYBE
Vienna Girardi. Bachelor fans loved to hate her, but after making the covers of countless tabloid magazines during her season of the show, Girardi is a star in her own right. While I can’t see ABC casting Vienna and Jake on the show together, I can see them casting one or the other. And frankly, Vienna creates more drama than nice-guy Jake. MY VOTE: DEFINITELY MAYBE
Kiptyn Locke. Bachelorette fans loved him on Jillian Harris’ season, but she passed him over for Ed Swiderski. Still, Kiptyn has kept himself in the spotlight, although not in an obvious way. His blog showcases his work for charities, but it was telling that Kiptyn recently showed his mug at the wedding of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney. That gave him some TV face time, which could have been a subtle plug for an upcoming stint on Bachelor Pad. MY VOTE: I HOPE SO
Rozlyn Papa. This Bachelor Season 14 contestant was escorted off the show early amidst rumors that she was involved with a producer on the show. Papa flatly denied all of the accusations and even accused Bachelor host Chris Harrison of hitting on the said producer’s wife. In the end, Papa left the Bachelor franchise on very bad terms. MY VOTE: FICTION– THEY COULDN’T PAY HER ENOUGH MONEY TO DO THIS SHOW
Any of the Alumni That Went on Jesse Csincsak’s Cruise or are in Jesse’s inner circle. Jesse Csincsak and Friends recently hosted a highly publicized cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Hmmmm….. this could have been partly to keep them in the news before the premiere of Bachelor Pad. Obviously ABC wants familiar faces on the show, so don’t expect to se too many faces from Season 1 of The Bachelor. Some of Jesse’s buds who were involved in the cruise included Juan B. and the hotheaded David G. from Jillian’s Bachelorette season. Csinsak also organized a Bachelor/Bachelorette cast reunion and has appeared at events with Bachelor contestants Gia Allemand and Ella Nolan. MY VOTE: EXPECT TO SEE SOME OF JESSE’S FRIENDS ON BACHELOR PAD
