When I came across Marie Callender’s Rigatoni Marinara Classico Meal in the frozen dinners section of my local grocery store, my attention was captured. I love many Italian style dishes. Marie Callender’s Rigatoni Marinara Classico Meal is affordable. It costs around three dollars. This meal steam cooks in the microwave, delivering al dente pasta, meatballs, sliced Italian sausage, diced tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and slow simmered marinara sauce. I love all of those ingredients. This dish also has Romano cheese, bread crumbs, onions and parsley, along with a wide variety of spices. The picture of this dish, on the outside of the box, looked fabulous. I could not wait to taste this meal!
This dinner is made for meat lovers, in my opinion. Lots of meat, pasta and tomatoes. What a great combination. Marie Callender’s Rigatoni Marinara Classico Meal is easy to prepare. It is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. I only had to place it in my microwave, heat on high for four minutes, remove the film from the top, stir the steamed food into the sauce bowl and serve. This meal self vents while cooking and there is no venting or tearing required. I loved that!
Marie Callender’s Rigatoni Marinara Classico Meal tastes wonderful! It is very fresh tasting, the pasta cooked perfectly and the marinara sauce is delicious. The meatballs are made with beef and they are very flavorful, as was the sliced Italian sausage. Lots of diced tomatoes made this meal perfect. For a steamed microwave pasta dish, it is a winner! This meal is hearty, filling and a real treat. I felt spoiled and this dinner surpassed my expectations. This is one of Marie Callender’s best steamed meals, in my opinion. I rate it five stars out of five stars. I could not find one thing wrong with it. I will be buying it again.
