Well, when I see the words “spa cuisine” I must admit, I am intrigued. I have never been in a spa in my life so, the idea of a spa meal is very attractive to me. I bet I am not alone in this. I recently spotted a Lean Cuisine Apple Cranberry Chicken Dinner in the frozen meals section of my local grocery store. I just had to purchase it, try it and write a product review about my experience. Here is what I discovered!
Lean Cuisine Apple Cranberry Chicken Dinner is affordable, I discovered. It costs between two and three dollars, depending on where you purchase it. Not a bad price. I love many Lean Cuisine frozen meals. This one has a delightfully interesting combo of grilled white meat chicken, apple reduction, cranberries, french cut green beans, whole wheat orzo pasta, carrots, wheat berries, apples, sea salt, ginger, lemon juice, orange juice and so many other ingredients. Very different and so creative. I could not wait to taste this dish!
I love apple and chicken salad, so I figured that I would like this meal. It is certainly for the daring and adventurous eater. This dinner has no preservatives in it. It is also low cal, low fat, fiber rich and low in sodium. Those facts are great! Lean Cuisine Apple Cranberry Chicken Dinner is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I decided to prepare it. I only had to remove the film cover, cook on high for three minutes and thirty seconds, stir and continue cooking for one minute and thirty seconds more. I let this dinner stand in the microwave for two minutes. I stirred and served. This meal smelled and looked very good!
When I tasted this dish, I liked it. The grilled chicken is yummy. The rice, cranberries, apples and carrots make this meal very special. This entree will please those that like apples with chicken. It is a filling meal and I like to have it for a quick lunch. This frozen meal is unusual and it adds creativity to my daily menu, for sure. It has no artificial flavors and I liked that. I rate Lean Cuisine Apple Cranberry Chicken Dinner three and one half stars out of five stars. Though it is not my favorite Lean Cuisine meal, it was fun to try. Any company that can combine carrots, apples and chicken together has my vote of approval. I will assume it is “spa like” since I have never been to one. I can dream.
