We’re down to the last six Survivor heroes and Villains: Villains Jerri, Russell, Parvati (Pav for short), and Sandra. The only heroes remaining are Colby and Rupert. (Unless, like many of us, you think Sandra was miscast and should have been a hero at the beginning. I don’t think any of us should be surprised at this list. You’ve got Rupert, the most popular player to ever visit tribal council. You’ve got two winners in Sandra and Pav. And some of the greatest strategists outside the Pentagon in Colby, Russell and Jerri. Here’s a look at the chances each has to win. I’m just a fan…no inside information.
If I was a betting woman and had $100 to bet, I would put 50 on Pav. She’s shown her skill in two very competitive Survivor seasons…but she is at the top of her game right now. I never thought any Survivor (hero or villain) would send Russell scurrying, but Pav has done it twice this season…with the secret idol and then when Candace went home. Was she disloyal to Danielle by not fighting to save her? Perhaps…but when Danielle left Survivor Heroes vs. Villains, the show lost one of the few people that could have beat Pav in the final tribal council, when the jury votes.
I’d put $30 of my remaining $50 on Sandra. You can figure the odds, but I think that’s probably 3-2. Sandra would be a favorite if she were running in the Kentucky Derby. Stop rolling your eyes and listen to my reasons. When Sandra played on the Pirate-themed season, she won but wasn’t given much credit for that win. Everyone credited the Boy Scout leader for giving Sandra the win by taking Sandra instead of Johnny Fairplay to the finals. I don’t agree with that assessment. Sandra is sneaky and I’m not sure the editing has given us much insight into that this season. She is the player who can control behind-the-scenes action without others knowing it. And she is one of the very, very few Survivors who can keep a secret. Now that she has a hidden immunity idol, that could be key. She’s not good at physical challenges, but she can do well if she thinks she is in danger. The biggest thing going for her is that she would be hard to beat t the final tribal council. She hasn’t made many enemies and you have to respect her play as she should have been gone before the merge. (and she’s probably my favorite, in case you can’t tell.)
Of my remaining $20, I’d put $10 on Russell. He’s sneaky but he’s not quite Pav’s equal. (This is another reason I think Sandra could win…she would benefit from a Russell-Pav showdown.) The first ten or so weeks have played heavily in Russell’s favor. Now that his play has been exposed, I don’t think the last two or three weeks will go as well. Plus, this year, Russell has been helped along by others not just himself. i think the jury will see through that and be more likely to vote for almost anyone else…with the exception of Colby. Now, as far as Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains goes…he ranks right up at the top of villains.
My final $10 bet would be on Rupert. I’ve been amazed that he’s made it this far. There is an outside chance right now that he could come out on top if he played well these last few weeks. While the game no longer seems to have Survivor Heroes vs. Villains alliances, both Pav and Russell alliances seem to be courting him right now. Rupert could stand up against most of the opponents pretty well in the final tribal council. Plus, Rupert has been in three Survivors. He’s won a million in the fan favorite vote after the All-Star game. So, he’s a good player and the odds are likely to catch up with him.
I’ve never liked Jerri. Maybe it’s just personal. Should some incredible immunity challenge happen and she wins a few to carry her through, I don’t think she can get any votes from the jury. Like Colby, she really has rode along in this installment of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. I don’t think she’d stand a chance against anyone. And her loyalty was plainly displayed at the last tribal council when Russell mouthed “Danielle” to her in front of everyone. That could be a problem for her as the game winds down.
I love Colby and have admired him since his first appearance on Survivor: Outback. He just really hasn’t played up to his past potential. I mean…he lost an immunity challenge to a guy with a torn ligament and a girl who didn’t look like she had an ounce of muscle. If by some miracle Colby should make it to the final 2, I think the jury’s consensus is that he hasn’t pulled his weight or made any game-changing moves and doesn’t deserve the money or title. (Sorry Colby…you’ll always be a Survivor Hero anyway! Don’t take it personal.
