Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis have been caught on camera sharing a kiss in ‘Black Swan’, but they aren’t the only A-list actresses locking lips; Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan also share a smooch in ‘Never Let Me Go’ (and you’ll find links to photos of both kissing scenes within this article). So are these buzz-worthy lip locks the only reason worth watching their upcoming movies, or should you catch them for more than just a kiss or two?
I’d say neither of the movies needs the lesbian kisses to carry them, as both have intriguing storylines and characters, topped off with amazing actresses to complete the perfect packages. Here’s an overview of both movies (and where you can see photos of the kissing scenes):
Release Date: December 1, 2010
This film about dueling ballerinas is definitely a dark psychological piece punctuated with two very different actresses: comedy queen Mila Kunis and dramatic dream girl Natalie Portman. Natalie Portman’s character will be competing with that of Mila Kunis for the lead role in the ballet ‘Swan Lake’, but things are made complicated by the fact that Mila Kunis’ character is perfect for one part of the role, that of the sensuous black swan, while Natalie Portman’s character seems made for the other side of the part: the innocent and graceful white swan. So can she get in touch with her dark side by befriending her competition? And is doing so such a good idea? I won’t reveal too much more about the plot, but there’s a whole lot more to see here than the kiss captured in this photo (I can’t wait to see Mila Kunis get serious and sexy!).
‘Never Let Me Go’
Release Date: September 15, 2010 (Limited)
For those that don’t know the plot of this amazing movie, don’t read too much about it. Of course I won’t give away the biggest twist about this film based on the novel of the same name here, but I will tell you this: it’s a very sobering and sad one. Here Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley play two girls growing up in a very special boarding school, experiencing the joys and sorrows of life along with a male member that completes their fresh-faced threesome (Andrew Garfield). They all love and experiment with their feelings, which is what culminates in the Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley kiss, but the ending of this coming-of-age tale will surely surprise you (you can see photos of the other A-list kiss here).
So while these kisses might catch the media’s attention, there’s much more to see in these mysterious movies than a couple of lovely ladies locking lips (but I’m pretty sure the sexy scenes will still help sell tickets to both).
