Spotting The Best Sales
Although many people will argue that buying your clothes online is not the best option due to shipping and handle fees, some of the best deals you will come across are found on the Internet. Not only are some sales available exclusively to only online shoppers, you will also be able to find “coupon codes,” which allow you to receive a discount on the items you buy.
The most reliable coupon website out there is http://www.retailmenot.com, and you will be able to find not only coupon codes for shopping online, but printable coupons for clothing stores, as well as restaurants.
For those who prefer to buy the items in stores, many stores offer back-to-school sales before the school year begins-it’s just a matter of time before your favorite store does too. If you shop at the same store often, it may be a smart idea to sign up for their store card, which gives you many bonuses, such as 20% off each item. For department stores, it’s also a good idea to sign up for their weekly magazine/newsletter, as they will tell you when a big sale is coming up, as well as give you coupons and discounts.
The best way to find a good deal is to check out their clearance/sale rack. It may be clustered, but you are bound to find what you’re looking for.
Stores
Although everybody’s taste in clothing varies, there is a store for everybody. Even though some of these stores may not be well-known, they come in good quality and are always reliable.
Papaya Clothing: With many retail stores out there, Papaya Clothing has not only simple, casual clothes like solid color v-necks and plain jeans, but more dressy, floral clothes as well. Their online website has many discount offers-not only for back-to-school, but for events like Christmas and July 4th. Their online store also gives you credit everytime you buy something, and when you earn enough, you can use the credit to buy more!
Forever 21: From cute graphic tanks to vintage, floral dresses, Forever 21 has it all! (They even have some clothes for guys, too.) At Forever 21, you are bound to find something you want. Like Papaya, Forever 21 is very cheap, and their stores are huge!
Fire L.A.: This not-so-well-known store may not have much, but they do carry very cute, chiffon clothing. As one of my personal favorite stores, Fire L.A’s clearance sections are often times cheap, but always cute! They usually offer store-wide sales, and if you’re looking for some cheap, good quality vintage clothing, you’ll like Fire L.A.
H&M: This is one of the more normal-budgeted stores. You’ll have to check out their retail stores, which usually have plenty of store sales. Their jewelry section is almost always on sale. H&M, though it may not be as cute and artsy as Forever 21, has plenty of both casual and dressy clothes.
Ruche (http://www.shopruche.com/index.php): Specializing in mainly artsy and vintage clothes, Ruche is decently-priced, and they always have cute clothes in stock. You’ll definitely be pleased with the quality and design of Ruche.
