This has been an exciting season of The Bachelorette. Ali Fedotowsky has proven to be not your typical bachelorette. First she gave up her job at Facebook, changed her life, re-located, and traveled the world with potential suitors. All in the name of love. She has made this season believable and real, because that is the way she is.
Along the way, Fedotowsky has met almost every type of bachelor possible. At the beginning of The Bachelorette, she had 25 men to choose from. During that time she sent home the pretty boy player, Justin Rego a.k.a. Rated-R. She cried tears over Frank leaving the show to go back to an ex-girlfriend. She sent home crazy Kasey- who got a tattoo in her honor (and couldn’t sing a lick). She has officially seen it all.
I think it’s time that she found love. She and Chris seem to have a really strong connection, one that has managed to be pulled from the “just friends” category, as they formed an even deeper bond.
1 He’s a family guy. He gave up his job to take care of his mother. A guy that loves his momma is a good catch, especially when he has his own job and house, and isn’t just living there because he’s too lazy work. In the hometown visits it was obvious how much his family means to him. Ali would fit in very well with Chris’ brothers and their wives. Chris says he admires his dad the most, and that is admirable.
2 He’s just a nice guy. When most of the other guys were creating drama, fame whoring, and playing games – he was being real, playing it low-key, and focusing on Ali. It would be great to see the nice guy finish first.
3 He makes a difference. A guy that can handle teaching New York high school kids for five years can’t be all bad. He calls this his biggest achievement to date. A guy that likes to make a difference in the world might be a keeper!
4 They are both from Massachusetts. 33-year-old Chris is from Dennis, Massachusetts; but currently resides in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Ali is also from the state. Although she currently lives in San Francisco, I think being from the same state could do nothing but help localize their love. And it could help them to understand one another.
5 Their obvious connection. It seems like it took them a while to get passed the “friends stage”, which gave Ali something more real than some of the others who see grew tired of quicker. Their connection built up more realistically, which could keep the flame hot for longer periods of time. Meaning their relationship could grow into something bigger than the physical level she has with Roberto.
