Yeast Infections are something that women tend to get from time to time. They are not something us women like to talk about, but they do tend to happen. Having a yeast infection can be embarrassing which is why when you get one, you don’t really want to go to the doctor. Of course if you get a lot of yeast infections, you should go see your doctor as their might be some sort of underlying problem. If you get them once in a while, then you can try one of these natural ways to get rid of the yeast infection.
Natural Way #1- Scent Free Soap & Loose Clothes
You should wash yourself several times a day down there using a scent free soap. Using scented soap can provide further infection. When you’re done scrubbing down there, make sure you rinse really well. Then you need to dry really well. Keep your clothes loose while you have a yeast infection. Try wearing a pair of boxers instead of underwear. If you can go commando, that’s even better. Bacteria grows in dark wet areas, so if you wear tight clothes and don’t dry very well down there your giving it a place to grow.
Natural Way #2- Garlic
If you have fresh garlic then you should try and take a garlic bath twice a day. You don’t have to have a bath filled with garlic and water, just enough to cover your bottom. Garlic kills bacteria, thus making your yeast infection go away. If garlic bath doesn’t sound very appealing to you, then you can take garlic pills. This will work as well, although it might work slower then the garlic bath.
Natural Way #3-Water
Drinking lots of water will help you flush out the infection. In order for this to work, you need to drink above and beyond what you would normally drink. If you drink 8 glass of water a day, then you should drink 15 glasses. The more you drink, the better off you will be.
Natural Way #4-Apple Cider & Vinegar
Make a solution of half apple cider and half vinegar in a bowel. Grab a clean white wash cloth and soak it in the mixture. Apply to the effective area and let sit for several minutes. You can do this several times a day depending on how bad the infection is. The apple cider and vinegar combination will kill the bacteria that is growing down there.
Natural Way #5- Yogurt
Yogurt is a very effective way to get rid of a yeast infection. You can first try by eating several yogurts a day, making sure the yogurt contains active cultures in it. If eating it doesn’t seem to be helping, you can then try rubbing yogurt onto the effective area and letting sit for several minutes. Then wash off with an un-scented soap.
