Arvada is a small town located about 20 minutes from Downtown Denver, where you’ll find a large number of locally owned restaurants. Arvada does have it’s share of chain restaurants and fast food restaurants, however we are lucky to have one of a kind dining with a variety of cuisine to choose from. Listed below are 3 of the top ranked restaurants in Arvada, out of a list of 146 restaurants. I personally have enjoyed meals at each of these restaurants and agree with such high rankings.
Bella Bistro: American Contemporary and Italian Cuisine
This restaurant located in Olde Town Arvada is very small and cramped however, the decoration is very nice and stylish. Decorated like a Pizza Kitchen with a wood-burning stove and a dash of New Orleans. Bella Bistro has a bar, counter seating, inside and outside patio seating. The counter over looks the food- prep area, allowing customer to watch the chefs at work. The meal starts with a complimentary appetizers of warm bread strips and two freshly made dips. Bella Bistro does not have a Happy Hour, it opens at 5 p.m. and that is when the dinner service begins. Bella Bistro has an ever changing menu, Chef Shelly Steinhaus offers customers a unique menu for each day of the week based on fresh ingredients. Bella Bistro is closed on Mondays when Chef Shelly offers cooking classes. Click here to see a sample of the dinner menu and learn more on Chef Shelly’s cooking classes. Reservations highly recommended.

La Estrellita: Mexican Cuisine
This restaurant conveys a warm relaxing feeling of Old World Mexico with eye pleasing decorations through out the restaurant. The food is great, especially the fajitas, which are cooked at your table or outside on the grill. The salsa, chips and tortillas are freshly made in this family owned restaurant. I have to say that it is the all you can eat buffet on Sunday’s that keeps the regulars smiling. For the low cost of $9.50 per person, the buffet included
everything from bacon and eggs to menudo and tortilla soup. There is a made to order omelet bar, fresh fruit and pastries. The Happy Hour promotes a very huge and delicious margaritas.

Namiko’s: Sushi Bar and Japanese Restaurant
Family owned and a neighborhood legend, customers drive from near and far to enjoy fresh and delicious sushi at Namiko’s. Namiko’s has a full bar, sushi bar and a large restaurant decorated in large silk flowers, blue walls, metal fish and large fish tanks full of tropical fish. The atmosphere is friendly and professional. The staff is very friendly and works well as a team. I’ve never felt like I had one server, instead I felt like every server in the restaurant was there for me. Namiko’s not only has the best sushi I’ve had in Colorado, but also offers a full line of Japanese dinner entrees. I have to recommend to anyone visiting Namiko’s to order Line of Fire Shrimp from the appetizer menu. It is by far my favorite item at Namiko’s. Sometimes I grave it so much, I place a to-go order for 3 Line of Fire Shrimps to take home and eat. Namiko’s has a Happy Hour with ever changing specials.
