With the summer in full effect, let the Renaissance Faires & Festivals begin. Get out your Medieval Costumes and live like a king or queen for the day. Enjoy great food, great drinks, and most importantly great times. Watch the knights jousting, the comedy shows, or shop for souvenirs. Whatever you enjoy, there is something for everyone at the renaissance festivals. So, pick a weekend, clear your schedule, and have some fun. These festivals are held all over the world. Big Bear City Renaissance Faire
Location: Pedersen’s Mill, 39115 Rim of the World Dr., Fawskin, CA
Time: 10 am to 6pm
Enjoy their exciting village experience, complete with jousting, strolling entertainers, stage performers, and their hand-crafted souvenirs. Bring the kids and they can enjoy the Children’s Area. Food & Drinks are available. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for Seniors & Children(6 & up). They also offer military and multiple day discounts. September 18th & 19th
Gold Coast Pirate Faire
Location: Lake Casitas, Ojai, CA
Time: 10am to 6pm
Enjoy, ” The World’s Largest Gathering of Pirates”. Wear your pirate costume and enter in the costume contests, or learn how to speak “Pirate” from Cap’n Slappy. They will have tons of games, parades, entertainment shows, treasure hunts, and many merchants to visit. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, & Children under 12 are $8. Escondido Renaissance Faire
Location: Felicita County Park, 742 Clarence Lane, Escondido, CA
Time: 10am to Dusk
Watch live shows, The Queen’s Parade, and check out the huge play area for kids. With over 50 merchants, a Beer Garden, and great food & drink, there is something for everywhere here.
