Have you missed football all winter long? Now that summer has arrived, the anticipation of the upcoming football season is uncovered in the training of your favorite football team. Here are a few updates of the training camps and schedules of the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.
Carolina Panthers: Training for the Carolina Panthers will be held at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC beginning July 28th through August 18th for both rookies and veterans. Wofford College is one of the NFL finest training facilities ranked in the top 5 in the league and the Panthers will be returning for their 16th camp. All training camp practices are free and open to the public with each session lasting up to 2 hours.

Dallas Cowboys: Training for the Dallas Cowboys will be splitting camp sites between the Alamo dome in San Antonio and the Marriott Residence Inn in Oxnard, California beginning July 24th. Due to contract obligations with San Antonio training will begin at the Alamo dome through August 6th. After a few preseason games training will continue in Oxnard, California from August 14-27. Jerry Jones, the owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys expressed his excitement about the Cowboys training schedule in this statement affirmed on the Dallas Cowboys website, “We are very excited about this training camp schedule. Spending two weeks in both San Antonio and Southern California gives us the opportunity to reach out to the very strong fan followings that the organization enjoys in two traditional training camp homes for the Cowboys. We have always received tremendous receptions and hospitality from the fans and community leaders in both San Antonio and Oxnard.
“From the football perspective, we see a serious benefit in being able to conduct all of our two-a-day sessions in ideal temperatures and on both artificial and natural grass surfaces.”

New York Giants: Training for the New York Giants will be held at University at Albany in Albany, NY beginning August 1st through August 20th. The Giants have a contract option of training at that location through 2012 and have been training at University at Albany for 13 consecutive summers. The Giants will practice for 3 weeks which consists of 16 days on campus including seven day/night sessions. Routinely, the Giants will not practice days after preseason games and will have a one hour jog session the day before a preseason game.
