There was little to no surprise over the St. Louis Rams’ selection of quarterback Sam Bradford as the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s first round of the NFL draft.
And, in fact, there’s wasn’t much surprise all day, as much of the round went more or less to form.
But the Denver Broncos’ selection of Tim Tebow, at No. 25 overall, drew the biggest reaction from the crowd at Radio City Music Hall – a mixture of boos and cheers – and it also drew speculation over just what the Broncos were going for.
Denver already has quarterbacks Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn on its roster, making it likely that the team intends to bring along Tebow slowly; probably a good idea, since the former Florida Gator has developed a new throwing motion with the intention of releasing the ball quicker, and he’ll most certainly want some time to perfect it.
