The last group of the 2010 FIFA World Cup is probably one of the most difficult ones for its members with the exception of Spain who’s playing in top form and it doesn’t seem like they’re going to struggle much. Group H is formed by Chile, Honduras, Switzerland and Europe’s champion Spain.
WHAT TO THINK ABOUT THE GROUP:
In theory it doesn’t look like Spain is going to have trouble at all. Chile is an offensive team who was surprising during the South American qualifiers and they could give a nice performance in this world cup. Honduras played nicely during the qualifiers, thus returning to the FIFA World Cup after 28 long years without playing in one. Switzerland closed the qualifiers nicely after a lazy start. This group is definitely one of the most interesting groups in the South African World Cup tournament.
HOW THEY RANKED LAST APRIL:
FIFA ranks every international football team on the 28th of each month; so, the rank for these four teams during April 28th. 2010 was like this:
Spain ranked as the number 2 of the world.
Switzerland ranked as 26th.
Honduras ranked as number 40 of the world.
Chile ranked as number 15.
The numbers for May 28th. are going to show probably the same ranks, usually a team doesn’t climb or loses many spots each month, if the any team ranks higher or lower is in an average of 3 spots. Meaning that Honduras was number 40 in April, but in May could be 37 or 43 on average.

There are no doubts in the experts’ minds that the hot spot of this group is going for Spain. Everybody is expecting Spain to crush its opponents. Experts are so confident in Spain, that they believe the European champion is going to use substitutes for all their matches in the group, something that could be a little offensive for the other teams in this group.
The match between Chile and Switzerland is probably going to decide who’s going to take the second place in this group. Honduras doesn’t seem like a tough contender for these teams, and even though they’re playing nicely, seems like it’s not enough to qualify to the next round. Experts believe that Chile’s offensive gameplay is going to put them through the next round.
