2010 FIFA World Cup’s group B is one of the groups with international soccer teams with great playing technique and group playing. Argentina is the only squad with international super stars like Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero, so this makes the “Albiceleste” a favorite in the group.
WHAT TO THINK ABOUT THE GROUP:
Even though there’s one favorite in theory, the group looks a little complicated for all the teams. Nigeria is known for the speed of its players, Greece is a team with great technique and nice plays, Korea mixes a little of technique with the high speed of its players, and Argentina plays with technique, speed and super stars, but don’t forget they struggled a lot and were forced to win their last 2 games in order to get their ticket for the FIFA World Cup, mostly due to the inexperience of its coach Diego Armando Maradona.
HOW THEY RANKED LAST APRIL:
FIFA ranks every international football team on the 28th of each month; so, the rank for these four teams during April 28th. 2010 was like this:
Argentina ranked as number 7 of the world.
Nigeria ranked as 20th.
Korea Republic ranked as number 47 of the world.
Greece ranked as number 12.
The numbers for May 28th. are going to show probably the same ranks; usually a team doesn’t climb or loses many spots on a different month, if the any team ranks higher or lower is in an average of 3 spots. Meaning that Greece was number 12 in April, but in May could be 9 or 15 on average.

Betting odds favor Korea with 7 points, Nigeria with 4, Greece with 5 points and Argentina is not the favorite for bets in this FIFA World Cup group. In this group the qualified teams according to gamblers are Korea and Greece. However, don’t get excited if your team is favorite in certain matches, gamblers usually go for the underdog of the match.
In theory, as previously stated Argentina shouldn’t have much trouble qualifying as first place in this group. Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Javier Mascherano need to lead the team all the time, otherwise the Argentineans could end up with an unpleasant surprise.
Nigeria and Greece are favorites to qualify as second place. Korea Republic did a terrific performance in the last two FIFA World Cups, however, things doesn’t look as easy for them. Experts think that Nigeria and Greece are going to compete head to head for the second ticket with Nigeria barely slipping into the next round.
