Every year E3 is the video game industry’s chance to introduce or preview their video games and consoles that will be coming out in the next year. Often E3 has a big effect on which company will do well for the next year due to how many exciting projects they have in 2010 – 2011. These are 10 things you can look forward to at E3 2010.

Sid Meier, the king of the turn-based strategy game, returns with the fifth installment of Civilization at E3 2010. Even though the Civilization series does not have the story or graphics of some of the other top franchises, it is still just as good as any series of video games.

EA Sports will have their usual lineup of sports games plus a couple of new titles. One of the new titles at E3 2010 will be the return of NBA Jam, which will be available only on the Nintendo Wii. The other new title is EA Sports MMA, which will go head to head with THQ’s UFC Undisputed 2010.
10 Things to Expect at E3 2010: Star Wars
The most interesting Star Wars game to look out for at E3 2010 is the MMO called The Old Republic, which should allow gamers a chance to delve into the Star Wars galaxies unlike any game before. In addition to Star Wars: The Old Republic there is also a new LEGO Star Wars game based on the Clone Wars and a new Force Unleashed game.

Star Wars will have its third installment of LEGO games with LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars but another franchise is joining the LEGO world at E3 2010. Now gamers will also be able to control Harry Potter, Hermione and Ron Weasley in LEGO form as well.

Fable II was one of the most innovative games in recent years and there are some pretty interesting new aspects of Fable III. Hopefully the actual story mode will take longer than about 10 minutes to beat.

Fable II was a little disappointing but the last installment of Fallout was fantastic. We’ll see which game looks like the better game this time around at E3 2010.

The Nintendo 3DS is a portable game console, like the DS, that will have 3D graphics and 3D glasses won’t even be necessary. The Nintendo 3DS was announced on March 23rd and the next details of the console will be released at E3 2010.

Every Nintendo console has to follow up shortly thereafter with a Mario game. It looks like the early Mario game for the Nintendo 3DS is going to be a 3D Mario Kart game.
10 Things to Expect at E3 2010: Playstation Move
The Playstation Move is Sony’s response to the Wii controller. The Playsation Move has a webcam that tracks the wand’s position and sensor in the wand that detect the motion so that players can control the actions in the game by moving the controller. The Playstation Move is set to release in Q3 or Q4 of 2010 so E3 2010 will be Sony’s last chance to show it off.
10 Things to Expect at E3 2010: Project Natal
Forget about Nintendo and Sony’s controllers. Microsoft has announced Project Natal. Project Natal is a gaming and entertainment system that has a peripheral that is controlled using gestures and spoken commands. The idea is that gamers can play a game without the use of any kind of controller at all.
